Marco worked as a lead developer of the Tumblr blogging platform[1] from Tumblr's founding in February 2007 until September 2010.[2] He left Tumblr (which has approximately 2 million registered accounts[3] and hosted over 38 million blogs as of December 2011[4]) to concentrate fully on Instapaper,[5][6] a bookmark and reading service. His blog, which he began in December 2006, receives about 600,000 page views per month as of January 2013.[10]
