Manuel António Caldeira (born 14 December 1926 in Vila Real de Santo António, Algarve) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as defender.

Football career

Caldeira spent nine years of his senior career with Sporting Clube de Portugal, winning five national championships – four consecutive – and the 1954 Portuguese Cup.

He gained three caps for Portugal over a five-month period, making his debut on 19 December 1954 against West Germany in Lisbon, a 0–3 defeat.
