Mamsko-Chuysky District (Russian: Ма́мско-Чу́йский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the thirty-three in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. The area of the district is 43,396 square kilometers (16,755 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Mama.[2] Population: 5,501 (2010 Census);[5] 7,990 (2002 Census);[8] 18,895 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Mama accounts for 66.0% of the district's total population.[5]
