Malyam is a small village in Andhra Pradesh, India.[1] It is home to approximately 3,000 people. Farming is Malyam's sole industry. Today, Malyam is a better city because of transportation to larger cities and superior educational institutions. Malyam is also known as Malya. It is not known how it got its name. Malyam was recently threatened by Naxalite terrorists who were prevented from infiltrating the city.
