Malta Xlokk is one of the 3 statistical regions of Malta, created in 1993 after the Local Council Act.[1][2] Also known as South Eastern Region, is located on the main island and borders with Malta Majjistral. The name is referred to the Sirocco wind, in Maltese Xlokk. The region includes the national capital, Valletta.
