Make Yr Life is the fourth and final album released by lesbian queercore band The Butchies and the first to be released on the Yep Roc Records label, rather than the group's previous label, Mr. Lady Records. The album has a more polished, commercial sound than the band's previous albums, Are We Not Femme?, Population: 1975 and 3, and earned The Butchies more recognition than they had previously enjoyed. However, it was the last album released before the band announced a 'hiatus' that has yet to end.
The first track on the album, "Send Me You", was featured in a series two episode of The L Word, although it did not appear on the series soundtrack.
