Magnum St. Pierre is dance producer who owned/operated Ensuite Studios in San Francisco.

Early life

Magnum was born Thomas Holstrom during the summer of 1971 in Malmö, Sweden. His mother was a bank teller at Riksbank, and his father was a well-known architect. While he never came from a very musical background, Thomas got into music in his late teens, after befriending sci-fi electro band S.P.O.C.K. Thomas worked extensively with Spock, helping them develop the sound that garnered them so much attention and respect. It was at this point in his career where Thomas began to go by the moniker Magnum St.Pierre- from the town Saint-Pierre in Eastern Canada, after having traveled there with S.P.O.C.K.

North American career

Magnum moved to San Francisco in 1999, with his wife Heidi Holstrom. It was there that he opened Ensuite Studios in 2001, a cutting-edge recording studio which primarily records and produces dance music. Magnum has also been known to work out of LA, Seattle, and Vancouver as well- traveling along the west coast producing pop and dance artists.

Death

On July 4, 2008, Magnum was traveling back to Malmö (along with his wife Heidi) to visit family and friends. He complained he was not feeling well upon arriving in Stockholm- by the time he and Heidi had arrived at his hotel, he had entered a state of cardiac arrest. He was rushed to emergency at Karolinska University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on the morning of July 5, 2008.[1] Magnum had been a long time sufferer of Crohn's disease which is believed may have contributed to cause of death.[1] He is survived by his wife Heidi, his mother, father, and his younger brother Jakob.
