Madanpur is a census town under Kalyani police station of Kalyani subdivision in Nadia district in the Indian state of West Bengal.[1]
Geography
Madanpur is located at 23°01′N 88°29′E / 23.02°N 88.48°E.[2] It has an average elevation of 9 m (30 ft).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[3] Madanpur had a population of 12,029 [as of now this figure must be doubled]. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Madanpur has an average literacy rate of 81%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 85%, and female literacy is 76%. In Madanpur, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Education
There are two higher secondary schools and 4 Secondary schools and several primary schools.
Higher secondary schools are, 1. Madanpur K. A Vidyalaya for boys 2. Madanpur K. A Vidyalaya for girls 3.Alaipur Monorama Siksha Niketon.-it is a very good school for local girls & boys. one of the teacher name Dipen Ghosh was a teacher of that school;who scarifies his life for our school.
