Lonnie Mack "Macky" Carden is an American football coach in the United States.[1]
Coaching career
Carden was the head college football coach for the Elon Phoenix located in Elon, North Carolina. He held that position for 5 seasons, from 1984 until 1988.[2] His coaching record at Elon was 34 wins and 17 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2013 season, this ranks him #7 at Elon in total wins and #5 at the school in winning percentage (.667).[3][4] Carden also served as the wrestling coach at Elon.
He was inducted into the Elon Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.[5]
