Macdonald is a community in Manitoba northwest of Portage la Prairie. The Post Office opened in 1884 on 33-12-8W. It was originally known as Drumconner and changed to its present name in 1895 and was located on 35-8-12W. The community is located in the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie.
