Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike professionally known as MNEK (born 9 November 1994 in Lewisham, London),[2] is a Grammy-nominated British singer, songwriter and record producer of Nigerian descent, signed to Virgin EMI Records.
Career
His recent writing & production credits include, amongst others, Devolution, Far East Movement, Gorgon City, Sub Focus, Clean Bandit, Duke Dumont, Rudimental, Misha B, Little Mix, A*M*E and his remixes include Duran Duran, Olly Murs, Bastille and Tinie Tempah.
2012–present: Breakthrough
In February 2012, he featured on Rudimental's single "Spoons" with Syron, the song did not chart. The song features on their debut studio album Home (2013). In January 2014 he features on Gorgon City's single "Ready for Your Love".
