MEDUSA (weapon)

- MEDUSA is also a fictional energy weapon in Philip Reeve's novel Mortal Engines, completely different from the real-life MEDUSA weapon and its name is not known to be an acronym.
MEDUSA (Mob Excess Deterrent Using Silent Audio) is a directional, non-lethal weapon designed for crowd control and exploiting the microwave auditory effect. It uses microwave pulses to generate uncomfortably high noise levels in human skulls.
MEDUSA is developed by WaveBand Corporation(Sierra Nevada Corporation bought waveband in 2005)]].[1]
