Måns Mårlind

Måns Magnus Mårlind (born on 29 July 1969 in Vallentuna) is a Swedish director and screenwriter.

Movie career

Mårlind attended film program in Stockholm University, Sweden and American Film Institute. His most notable work being the 2005 film Storm.[1] He co-directed the thriller Shelter with Björn Stein, his film school friend; the film stars Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers[2] and based on a screenplay by UK screenwriter Michael Cooney.[3] In November 2010, Mårlind and Stein replaced Len Wiseman as directors for 2012's Underworld: Awakening.[4] Stein and Mårlinds latest movie is called Känn ingen Sorg and is based on the songs of Swedish singer/songwriter Håkan Hellström.

Next project

Collected Swedish Cults, an anthology about ancient beings and the Swedish cults dedicated to them. The film was announced in March 2012; its status is currently unknown.
