Málaga Philharmonic

The Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra (Spanish: Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga) is a Spanish orchestra from Málaga based in the city's Cervantes Theatre. Founded in 1991 as City of Málaga Symphony Orchestra (Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad de Málaga),[1] it took its current name in 2001. Its current principal conductor is Edmon Colomer,[2] whose tenure has been marked by a decline from 1,200 to 700 subscribers[3] and tensions with part of the orchestra over programming policies.[4]
