Lyle W. Hillyard is a Utah politician and an attorney. A Republican, he is a member of the Utah State Senate, representing the state's 25th senate district in Cache, and Rich Counties including the city of Logan.
Background
Hillyard is a graduate of Utah State University and the University of Utah.
Hillyard is a Latter-day Saint (Mormon).
Political career
As a Utah State Senator, Hillyard is well-positioned to influence Utah legislation relating to education and to state revenues. He is the chair of the Senate's Executive Appropriations Committee, and is a member of the Public Education Appropriations committee.[1] He is also a member of two standing senate committees: the Education Committee, and the Judiciary, Law Enforcement, and Criminal Justice Committee.[2]
