Lycopodium fastigiatum, commonly known as alpine club moss or mountain club moss is a native club moss of New Zealand. L.fastigiatum is a moss with an upright, much branched and conifer-like appearance that can grow to 10 cm high.
It is located across New Zealand from mountainous, alpine areas to scrubland. In cold conditions it can have a bright orange appearance.[1]
