Luther Elkins (May 26, 1809–1885) was an American politician and pioneer in the state of Oregon. Born in Cornville, Maine and married to Philotheta Williams, he immigrated to the Oregon Territory overland via the Oregon Trail in 1852.[1] He served in the Oregon Territorial Legislature and was a delegate to the Oregon Constitutional Convention.[1] In 1860, he was selected as the first President of the Oregon State Senate, serving one session in that role.[2]
