Luther Burrell (born 6 December 1987) is a professional rugby union player for Northampton Saints, he signed from Sale Sharks in the Summer of 2012 after a 1 year stint at the club.

Club career

Burrell studied at All Saints Catholic College and Huddersfield New College and started his career at Huddersfield Rugby Union Football Club.[2] Burrell has experienced playing Rugby League and before joining his local Rugby Union side spent two years with Huddersfield RL. During the close season, Burrell has also been working hard to build up his fitness and has been training with the club's sister club Leeds Rhinos to gain some match experience. His favoured position is centre. He also represented the West Indies.

International career

He was called up by Stuart Lancaster to represent England in May 2013 after his good form and an injury to Joel Tomkins.[3]

In January 2014, he was named in the England starting XV for the 2014 Six Nations Championship opening game versus France where he scored his first international try.
