Lutembacher's syndrome is a form of congenital heart disease. It is defined as the association of a congenital atrial septal defect and an acquired mitral stenosis.[1] For Lutembacher's syndrome, the atrial septal defect is a specific type called a secundum ASD.
It is named after René Lutembacher.[2]
