Luke Newberry (born 19 February 1990 in Exeter, Devon) is an English actor.

Career

Newberry was first signed to an agent aged 7. When he was 11, he appeared with Helena Bonham Carter in The Heart of Me. He has acted in films and also on stage, playing Haemon in Sophocles' Antigone.[1]

Newberry appeared in the 2012 BBC Sherlock episode A Scandal in Belgravia as a young policeman.[2]

In 2013 Newberry starred in the BBC Three supernatural drama In the Flesh.[3] Series 2 is currently being filmed.

Newberry was cast to play Teddy Lupin in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 but was cut from the final film.[4]

Personal life

Newberry was born in Exeter, Devon. He attended Clyst Vale Community College in Broadclyst before attending Exeter College. Aged 18, he went to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to study acting, graduating in 2011.[5]

Newberry has two sisters who are dancers.[1]
