While still very young and inexperienced, the disintegration of his family led to his parents separating. When he was 4, his mother, Miriam Cosme met Carlos Rios, whom which Marrero considers a father.

"God has been good to me, I am blessed to have three fathers, I have a biological father, a foster father and I have one of the greatest fathers of all, God, my heavenly father, what more can I ask for?". During his time as a child he also spent some years in Costa Rica where he made friends and family in God and they remain friends up to this date.

His quest led him to dabble in the art of music when he was fifteen years old, being greatly influenced by fellow Puerto Rican Vico C, with whom he would later work with on one of his six future albums. At sixteen years of age he became a husband and a father, which led him to make all sorts of sacrifices to push his family forward.
