Lucy Angel is an American country music family trio consisting of mother Kate Anderton and her two daughters, Lindsay and Emily. They have released an eponymous EP as well as two singles, “Only Woman Left” and “Serious." The group has released a holiday single, "Mr. Santa" for the 2011 holiday season.[2]
Music career
Early Years
Kate first entered the world of country music when her husband entered her into a country music talent search show, the Wrangler Country Showdown (which later became the Colgate Country Showdown), which she won. Eldest daughter Lindsay started performing at age four, and by twelve had joined her mother in singing professionally.[3] Originally from Arizona, the family moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2003,[4] where Kate and Lindsay first took on the name Lucy Angel as the name of their duo.[5] However, it wasn't long before youngest daughter Emily joined her mother and sister on the stage, turning the duo of Lucy Angel into the trio it has been ever since.[6]
2004 - Present
Lucy Angel's first public performance as a trio was opening for Neal McCoy.[7] Since then, the group has opened for headliner acts such as Taylor Swift, Montgomery Gentry and Charlie Daniels.[8] On July 22, 2011, they performed at the Country Thunder Music Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.[9][10] They have also extensively toured the country promoting their singles "Only Woman Left" and "Serious."[11]
