Luís Filipe Andrade de Oliveira (born 30 September 1973 in Lisbon), known as Andrade, is a Portuguese retired footballer. A gritty player with few skills he operated mainly as a defensive midfielder, but could also play as a defender.
Football career
After playing his youth football at Sporting Clube de Portugal, Andrade went on to represent G.D. Estoril Praia (1992–95), C.F. Estrela da Amadora (1995–96), C.F. Os Belenenses (1996–98), Sport Lisboa e Benfica (1998–2003, with one season loaned to Sporting de Braga), Académica de Coimbra (2004–06), C.D. Pinhalnovense (2007), C.D. Olivais e Moscavide (2007–08) and Odivelas FC (2008–10).
He also had abroad spells with CD Tenerife (2003–04, Spanish second division) and AEP Paphos FC (Cyprus, a few months, early into the 2006–07 season), and finished his extensive career in the regional championships in 2011, with Grupo Sportivo Loures. Andrade amassed Portuguese top flight totals of 193 games and one goal, and was a member of the national side that competed at the 1996 Olympic Games, helping it reach the 4th place.
