Lovana Jones

Lovana S. 'Lou' Jones (March 28, 1938, in Mansfield, Ohio – May 8, 2006) served as an Illinois State Representative for nearly 20 years, and was known for speaking up for abused and neglected children. On April 3, 2011, a new Metra train station was opened at 35th Street on the Rock Island District line that will be named after her, called 35th Street/Lovana S. 'Lou' Jones/Bronzeville station.[1]
