Lourdes Lopez is a Cuban-born dance company administrator and former principal dancer of the New York City Ballet. She enrolled in the School of American Ballet at age 14 after growing up in Miami. She became principal at the City Ballet in 1984 and retired at age 39 in 1997.[1][2]
In 2012 Lopez was named to be the director of the Miami City Ballet.[3]
Personal life
In 1987 Lopez married Lionel Saporta.[4] She is now married to George Skouras.[2]
