Louisiana Highway 40 (LA 40) is a 53.16 miles (85.55 km)-long east-west state highway in Louisiana, extending from Louisiana Highway 43 at its western end, crossing Interstate 55 in Independence, ending at Louisiana Highway 41 at its eastern end in Bush.[1]
