Route description
From the west, LA 3161 begins at an intersection with LA 3235 and proceeds east along West 68th Street to an intersection with LA 1 at Bayou Lafourche. It acts as a connector between LA 1 and its four-lane bypass, LA 3235, in Cut Off.
LA 3161 is an undivided, two-lane highway for its entire length.
