Louisiana Highway 1079 (LA 1079) is a state highway in Louisiana which serves Tensas Parish. The highway spans 1.42 miles (2.29 km) from its southern terminus at Louisiana Highway 888 in Westwood to its northern terminus approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north of Westwood.
Route description
LA 1079 begins at a rural intersection with LA 888 in Westwood. The highway follows the east bank of the Tensas River for its entire route. State maintenance of the highway ends at an intersection with a local road about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north of Westwood. LA 1079 is an undivided two-lane road for its entire length.
