Route description
From the west, LA 1078 begins from an intersection with LA 1077 just east of where it crosses the Tchefuncte River. The highway heads east-southeastward towards a terminus at LA 25 south of Folsom.
LA 1078 is an undivided, two-lane roadway for its entire length.
