Louis Royer

Louis Royer (1793–1868) was a sculptor from the Austrian Netherlands. He lived in Mechelen, Paris, Rome, The Hague, and Amsterdam. In the Netherlands he made sculptures of famous people from Dutch history, such as the statue of Rembrandt at the Rembrandtplein and of Joost van den Vondel in the Vondelpark, both in Amsterdam.[1]
