Los Iracundos are a rock and roll band that rose to prominence in Latin America during the 1960s at the peak of the Nueva ola music movement. The band formed in 1958 at the city of PaysandĂș in western Uruguay. Soon after its foundation, the band participated in the Uruguayan Invasion, a music craze which took over Argentina in the 1960s. From there, the band rapidly expanded in popularity in countries such as Chile, Peru, and Mexico.

After the death of lead singer Eduardo Franco in the late 1980s, the band has continued to operate with different members.
