Lori Melien (born May 11, 1972 in Calgary, Alberta) is a former international backstroke swimmer from Canada, who won the bronze medal with the Women's 4x100 Medley Relay Team at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, together with Andrea Nugent, Allison Higson and Jane Kerr.
On her personal starts on the 100 and 200 metres backstroke, Melien didn't made it to the final; she finished in 12th and 19th position. Melien swam much of her amateur career for the Ajax Aquatic Club in Ajax, Ontario. Many of her individual club records still stand today. ( http://ajaxswimming.ca)
