London Triathlon

The London Triathlon (currently known as the "Virgin Active London Triathlon", and previously the Mazda London Triathlon, and before that the Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon, for sponsorship reasons) is the largest Triathlon in the world. Held annually in London, the race attracts a world class field of elite athletes and in excess of 13,000 competitors and 30,000 spectators to the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, in the London Docklands. The 2011 event was held on 30–31 July. The 2012 event was delayed until after the London Olympics and held 22 & 23 September. The 2013 event was held on 27th & 28 July. Previous winners include Tim Don, Stuart Hayes, Andrea Whitcombe, Jodie Swallow and Emma Snowsill. The official magazine is known as Transition.The event is owned by IMG.[1]
