Lomatia fraseri (Tree Lomatia, Forest Lomatia or Silky Lomatia) is a shrub or small tree which is native to rainforest margins in mountainous regions of Victoria and New South Wales in Australia.[1][2] The species grows up to 8 metres high and has lancelolate to elliptic leaves which range from entire to deeply pinnasect and are between 6.5 to 15 cm long and 1 to 3.5 centimetres wide. The upper surfaces are green and glabrous, while the undersides are yellow-green and silky.[2] The white to cream conflorescences appear between December and February in the species native range, followed by the development of 1.5 to 3 cm long follicles.[1] [2]
