Loha is a city and a municipal council in Nanded district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Malegaon Yatra, is held every year in honour of Lord Khandoba in Malegoan, a village situated in Loha Taluka that is located 57 km from Nanded. Being on state highway this is very well connected for the transporation.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Loha had a population of 20,135. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Loha has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 55%. In Loha, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age. Loha has Tahsil and it is a Taluka separated from Kandhar. It is 448 km far from its State Main City Mumbai. There are around 62 sub villages in loha.
