Lobsang Tshering

Lopsang Tshering Bhutia (1951/1952–10 May 1993) was a Nepalese Sherpa mountaineer who died on Mount Everest.
He was a nephew of Tenzing Norgay who was the first person to climb Mount Everest in 1953 along with Sir Edmund Hillary. An instructor at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute he was part of an expedition to Everest led by his nephew and Tenzing Norgays grandson Tashi Tenzingto commemorate the 40th anniversary of his uncles ascent of mount everest in 1953. He reached the summit but was killed on the descent.
