Liza Monroy is a writer in Brooklyn, New York. Her debut novel, Mexican High, was published by Spiegel and Grau.[1] Her articles and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, the L.A. Times, Newsweek, Village Voice, Jane, Self, Bust and others. She earned an MFA in non-fiction from Columbia University School of the Arts, where she was also an instructor in the Undergraduate Writing Program.[2] She’s currently at work on a memoir.
