List of political parties in India

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

India has a multi-party system with a predominance of small regional parties. Political parties that wish to contest local, state or national elections are required to be registered in four or more states, and thus recognised as "National" parties by the EC. Otherwise, they are known as "State" parties.[1]
