Lingasamudram is a village and a Mandal in Prakasam district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India, 30 km from Kandukur. It contains nearly 20 villages, as well as the Rallapadu reservoir, which is the largest irrigation project in the district.

Temples,festivals and Staubach

There are two major temples, Sri Rama Temple and Lord Venkateswara Swami Temple.

The Venkateswara swami temple was built by the 'Ancestors Of ADAPA' Family, every year the family members celebrate Kalyanotsavam of lord Venkateswara with help of TTD, At the time fair they have cultural events like dance baby dance, projecting movies, drama's and more.

Lingasamudram is also well known among near by district people believe that snake bite is no danger when one visits the samadhi of Tirumalasetty Kotaiah and in acknowledgement Maha Shivaratri festival celebrated in a very big way. Lord Sri Rama temples in Balijapalem and Janagamreddypalem locality goes into colorful celebrations on every Sri Ramanavami festival and facilitates excellent cultural programs Lingasamudram town situated at the foot hills of Malakonda, abode of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha and open to visitors on every Saturday. There is an age old pedestrian path through deep forest (wherein wild animals move freely) running about 7 miles to reach the main temple.

Lingasamudram town there is a temple named as AYYAPPA SWAMI TEMPLE(including this temple there are 9 temples in that place). It has built in 2010, they are planning to build "SAI MANDHIR" in the same village and they are celebrating grandly every festival.

Near to Lingasamudram town one village Mogilicherla it is very famous because there is a one temple named as SRI DATTATREYA SWAMI MANDIR Every year Aradhana (04,05,06 of May) is celebrated very grandly it is of 10 km from Lingasamudram.Lingasamudram Mandal is famous for tobacco and mirchi cultivation.

Sree Veerabrahmendra swamy temple located at Chinapavani village of Lingasamudram village, is located in a peaceful location and is spreading across the devine Govindamamba veerabrahmendra mahamantra.

Schools and colleges

A large government high school established in 1957 named KRZPHS Lingasamudram, as well as a few private schools. There is only one junior college teaching classes 10+1 and 10+2. The Government High School run under the leadership of several eminent and dedicated head masters and teachers. High school as wonderful source of inspiration and cause for the birth of many professionals excelling on many fronts at national and international levels. also three ZPHS schools, they are BZPHS Pedapavani,ZPHS Mogilicherla,ZPHS V.R.Kota. There are elementary schools in all villages of Lingasamudram.

Transportation

There is no railway line in Lingasamudram, but it is well connected by road to all major metro cities viz., Hyderabad, Chennai & Bangalore etc. in Southern India and other towns in Andhra Pradesh. Generally people use APSRTC buses for transportation. To travel by train, the nearest railway stations are Singarayakonda or Kavali on the trunk line of Vijayawada - chennai.

Politics

Lingasamudram is under Kandukur assembly constituency and Nellore parliament constituency.
