Lincoln Station is a planned SkyTrain station on the Evergreen Line which will be located in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The station will be located at the intersection of Pinetree Way and Lincoln Ave and will be adjacent to the Coquitlam Centre shopping mall.
Timeline
Work to prepare for the station started in the fall of 2013 with the cutting down of all the trees on the west side of Pintree way from Lincoln Ave to Northern Ave. In January 2014 a report was released about the construction timeline for the station. Part of the report cited "Construction of the Evergreen Line’s Lincoln Station is scheduled to begin in early January 2014. This work will be ongoing until late 2015 and will take place in a fenced-off area within the northeastern section of the Coquitlam Centre parking lot between Northern Avenue and Lincoln Avenue". [1] As of mid-January 2014, the whole area of the future station has been fenced off.
Other Details
The station is expected to open in 2016 along with the rest of the Evergreen Line.[2]
