Lin Yue (simplified Chinese: 林跃; traditional Chinese: 林躍; pinyin: Lín Yuè; Cantonese Yale: Lam4 Yuek6); born July 24, 1991 in Chaozhou, Guangdong) is a Chinese athlete who competes in diving. He competed for Team China in Diving at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Background

Lin Yue started diving when he was little, training in a sporting school in his hometown, with a coach named Li Huansen (李焕森). In the following 5 years, he went to Guangdong Provincial Weilun Sporting School (广东省伟伦体育学校), under instructor Cao Ke (曹科). In the year 2004, he was selected in the Beijing Diving team. His current coach is Zhong Shaozhen(钟少珍).

Major achievements

He claimed the bronze medal in the 2007 World Aquatics Championships. He claimed the gold medal at the 2008 World Cup - 10m platform synchro. He won the gold medals in the Men's synchronized 10 metre platform at the 2008 Summer Olympics, as well as at the 2009 ROMA FINA World Championships.
