Librazhd is a town in eastern Albania, capital of the Librazhd District. It has a population of approximately 11,027.[1] Librazhd is the nearest town to the Shebenik-Jabllanice National Park. For more information see: Librazhd District.
History
During WWII two battalions of the National Liberation Movement ambushed defeated Third Reich troops near Librazhd killing over 200 German soldiers.[2]
Sports
Librazhd's football (soccer) club is Sopoti Librazhd. KF Sopoti Librazhd was founded in 1948 and its home ground is Sopoti Stadium which seats 3,000.
The team is playing the 2010-2011 season in the Albanian Second Division.
