Liam McHale is an Irish Gaelic footballer and basketballer who played with the Mayo senior football team.[1] McHale played for Mayo in the 1996 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final in which Meath defeated them after a replay and McHale was sent off.[2] He won an All Star award in 1996.[3] He was also a selector for the Mayo team for what was regarded at the time as a humiliation by Kerry in the 2004 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final - until two years later when Kerry did much worse damage to them.[4]
