Lewis R. Stegman

Lewis R. Stegman (January 18, 1840 New York City - October 7, 1923), was a Colonel in the American Civil War. He later served as sheriff of Kings County, New York.[1]
Biography
He was a member of the New York State Assembly (Kings Co., 6th D.) in 1879.
In 1912 he served as chairman of the New York Monuments Commission.[2] He died on October 7, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York.[1]
