Letcombe Football Club is an English football club based in Letcombe Regis, Oxfordshire. The club are currently members of Division One West of the Hellenic League and play at Bassett Road.

History

It is unclear when the club was established, but the earliest mention of football in the village is from 1910, when the club was playing in the Wantage section of the North Berks Football League.[1] In 1912–13 they won the Wantage section, setting up a championship play-off match against Radley. After the match ended 1–1, the trophy was shared.[1] The club continued to play in the North Berks League until folding in the 1950s.

The club was reformed in 1961, and in 1988 won the North Berks Cup by defeating Saxton Rovers 1–0. Two seasons later the club won the Premier Division of the North Berks League and were undefeated during the season.[1] The success saw the club move up to Division One of the Chiltonian League.[1] The club won Division One at the first attempt, earning promotion to the Premier Division.[2]

In 1993 the club joined Division One of the Hellenic League. When the league was restructured in 2000, they were placed in Division One West, before being transferred to Division One East in 2002.[2] Three seasons later they were moved back into the West division, where they remained until being moved back into the East division in 2011. In 2012 they were moved back to the Hellenic Division One West. The reserve team play in the Hellenic Division Two West.
