Letícia Sabatella (born March 8, 1972[1][2][3][4][5] in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil) is a Brazilian actress.

Biography

Letícia was two years old when her family moved Itajubá (MG) to the mining town of Conceição das Alagoas, going live in the village of Big Bend Power Plant. There her father was an engineer at the plant. She said she learned to appreciate nature in this place full of greenery and people of different nationalities. Today, it has a place in Nova Friburgo, mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, where she grows organic food cooperative arrangements with employees.

Her political consciousness emerged[6][7] early in life and was reinforced by the company of people like Frei Betto and Herbert de Souza, who showed her the importance of using her celebrity for something more than making money. Her engagement has become so strong that came to live with the Indians[8] craós (Tocantins), as if one of them, and camping with members of the Landless Workers' Movement to understand your proposal. In addition, participates in several organizations, is a constant presence in forums, raises her voice in defense of human rights and the environment.

Her experience with the Indians led her to start a career as a filmmaker. In 2008, launched the documentary Hotxuá.[9]

On December 8, 2007, was[10] in Sobradinho, Bahia, visiting the bishop of Barra, Dom Luiz Flávio Cappio, at San Francisco. The bishop did hunger strike for the second time, the first in Cabrobó, Pernambuco, in protest against the transposition of the São Francisco River. Leticia is part of the non-governmental organization Human Rights Movement.

Is vegetarian.[11]

In 2009, Yvone played on the soap opera Caminho das Índias by Glória Perez.[12][13] In 2012, was confirmed in the movie The Mother War, foreign film that will have its co-production between the United States and Italy, the film she plays will the warrior Anita Garibaldi.[14][15]

In 2013, returns the novels in Sangue Bom, in which interpret Verônica.[16] On 16 December the same year, he married the actor Fernando Alves Pinto in São Paulo, after two years of dating, just an intimate ceremony for 350 guests.[17]
