Leonard Klinck

Leonard Sylvanus Klinck (January 20, 1877 – March 27, 1969)[1] was the second President of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada from 1919 to 1940.[2]

Biography

Leonard Klinck was born in Victoria Square, Ontario in 1877.[2] He graduated from the Ontario Agricultural College in 1903, and received an M.S.A. from Iowa State University in 1905.[2] He then taught at the Macdonald College at McGill University.[2][3] In 1914, he became the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of British Columbia.[2] He served as its second president from 1919 to 1944.[2]
