Legnava

Legnava is a village and municipality in the Stará Ľubovňa District, Prešov Region in northern Slovakia. It has 146 inhabitants.

Village History

The village had been established by 1366, when King Ludovit I gave a wooded territory between villages Starina, Orlov, Andrejovka and the river Poprad to nobleman Jakub. The village is first mentioned in 1427 and at that time village was the possession of the Brezovica lordship.

Historic Buildings

A chapel built by Tomáš Szirmay (1760) is located 1 km from the village.
