Lee Sang-woo (born February 13, 1980) is a South Korean actor. He is famous for his television dramas such as Feast of the Gods(2012), The Road Home(2009) and Life is Beautiful(2010)

Career

Lee Sang Woo made a good debut as a supporting role in 18 vs. 29 which averaged at 15.9%.This was followed by forgettable supporting roles in Can Love be Refilled and Two Outs in the Ninth inning. In 2006, Sang Woo also had his big screen debut as a second leading role following the super stars Kwon Sang Woo and Kim Ha Neul in Almost Love whose box office reached over 9 million. Sang Woo then had roles in movies Don't Look Back. In 2007, Sang Woo had his a supporting role in successful drama, First Wives' Club which peaked at 41.3%.Thanks to the drama Sang Woo received SBS Best New Star Award.

It is not until 2009 that Lee Sang Woo had a first leading role in The Road Home.This was a breakthrough in Sang Woo's career since the drama had really high ratings which peaked at 26.1% received a lot of attention from the viewers. In the same year, Sang Woo also had a second leading role following super star Jang Hyuk in Searching for the Elephant.

In late 2009 and the beginning of 2010, Sang woo had a lead role in Don't Hesitate whose ratings was around 10% and 15%.This was followed by another breakthrough of Lee Sang Woo in Life is Beautiful. In the drama Lee Sang Woo together with Song Chang-eui made a gay couple. The drama received huge attention from the viewers, it peaked at 25.7% and averaged around 20%. In 2011 Sang Woo played as a supporting in Believe in Love which averaged around 22.8%. Later in the same year, Sang Woo played a second leading role in successful melodrama A Thousand Days' Promise which topped in the ratings race.

In 2012, Sang Woo had a leading role again with the hot star Sung Yu-ri in Feast of the Gods which led in the ratings race.[1][2] The drama is considered to be the biggest breakthrough of Sang Woo since thanks to his sincere acting in the drama he won MBC Excellent Award. Later in the same year, Sang Woo had a second leading role in historical drama Horse Doctor which averaged around 17.3%, he also had a supporting role in the cable drama Childless Comfort. In 2013, Sang Woo had a second leading role in Goddess of Marriage which averaged around 9.8%
