Lee Reherman (born July 4, 1966) is a former American football player but a current actor and television host.

Personal life

Reherman was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He played football at Cornell University and then played professionally with the Miami Dolphins. While at Cornell University, he was elected to the Sphinx Head Society and was a brother of Chi Psi Fraternity. After his pro football career ended, Lee received an MBA in Finance from UCLA and began working on his Ph.D. in Economics. He is related to Louisville's Robert J. Howard family (Louisville, KY) as well as golfer Frank Beard, basketball star Ralph Beard, and football legend Mo Moorman.

Since his early days as THE HAWK on The American Gladiators, Lee Reherman has been a recognizable entertainment personality for nearly two decades, now boasting ACTING, HOSTING, VOICE OVER, & PRODUCTION CREDITS in over 100 Television & Feature Film projects; his broad resume includes everything from wacky DISNEY characters, to gritty SHOWTIME roles, to hi-octane SPEED CHANNEL hosting gigs.

Reherman currently plays “Secret Service Agent ROSS HARDISON” in Byron Allen’s new BET comedy series, The First Family, & appears as “MERC” in JJ Abrams summer blockbuster, Star Trek 2 Into Darkness. On the hosting side, Reherman is currently in his 7th Season of Hot Rod TV for SPEED, his 2nd Season of Off Road Overhaul for THE OUTDOOR CHANNEL, & his 1st Season of Game Changers for STAGE 5 TV. And Reherman is currently the International live-action face of RED 5 STUDIO’s Video Game Firefall, having added TYPHON to his “super-hero resume,” beginning in 2012.

Also in 2012, Reherman starred on Ron Howard & Brian Grazer’s TNT Adventure Show, The Great Escape & he added a season of SPEED’s Battle of the Supercars to his car show hosting resume. In 2011, Reherman starred on SHOWTIME’s Look, was recurring on ABC’s General Hospital, & Guest Starred on NBC’s Chuck. And in 2010 Reherman Guest Starred on COMEDY CENTRAL’s Workaholics, CBS’s Medium, & CW’s 90210.

Reherman has also lent his distinguishable voice to Video Games, Animation, & Ad Campaigns, & he can currently be heard as the voice of ARMAGEDDON on The CARTOON NETWORK’s Regular Show & as one of the voices of the VISA NFL Super Bowl Campaign. And he just completed VO for multiple lead characters in the Blue Harvest Motion Capture Video Game Project, set for release in 2014.

Reherman’s earlier theatrical credits include: Navy NCIS, Prison Break, Terriers, Leverage, Not Easily Broken, Race to Witch Mountain, The Closer, Bratz The Movie, The Shield, & In Case of Emergency. And he’s been a DISNEY regular with Guest Star Appearances on Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Cory of the House, Suite Life, & That's So Raven. As a host, he’s worked for almost every network, including Best Damn on FOX, StressTest on HGTV, That Yin Yang Thing on TLC, RollerJam on SPIKE, Arena on G4, The American Veteran Awards on HISTORY, & The XFL on NBC.

Television

During the time he was attending college, some of his classmates dared him to audition on the American television program American Gladiators. He got the job and became known as the gladiator, Hawk in 1993[1] through 1996. Lee was one of the show's most popular Gladiators and often interacted with his fans in the audience. After the show ended, he focused his career as an actor and has been seen in such TV programs such as the X-Files, Angel, Charmed and Caroline in the City, worked as color commentator on RollerJam with Ken Resnick (season one) and Rory Markas (seasons two and three) through 2001, and was also the host of the G4 competitive video game show, Arena (which has been on hiatus since the end of 2004) with Kevin Pereira. His favorite events on American Gladiators were Tug O War, Joust and Powerball (more notably Tug-O-War, as he can also be seen playing that game in several episodes of Family Challenge).

Reherman guest-starred in the Disney Channel cable-TV series "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" episode "Maddie Checks In" as "The Amputator" a professional wrestler, in "Cory in the House" episode "Model Behavior" as "the guy at boot camp", in "Hannah Montana" episode "Got to Get Her Out of My House" as the housekeeper, and also in "That's So Raven" episode "Spa Day Afternoon" as the "tough body-guard". He also has appeared in several episodes of the show Overhaulin on the Discovery Channel as a helper to the host with the pranks involving those who have had their cars taken to be overhauled by Chip Foose. Currently, he is the host of SPEED Channel's Battle of the Supercars.

Reherman was in episode nine of the first season of Comedy Central's Workaholics.

Commercials

Reherman was in a commercial for Ice Breakers gum, playing one of Carmen Electra's bodyguards. Reherman also appears in a Capital One commercial where Santa Claus is designing his own credit card. He appears to be a "Security Elf" saying, "Mrs. Claus is a lucky woman, sir."

In January 2014 Reherman appeared in a commercial for Lean Pockets.[2]

Video games

Reherman cosplayed as, and will be voicing Typhon in the upcoming Firefall (video game)
